Revealed: Kenyan Politicians Who Are Arsenal Fans

Gunners have never won EPL trophy since 2003/2004

The Arsenal Football Club, commonly known as Gunners , is a professional football club based in London and competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football.

Locally, the club has a huge following including high profile figures who sometimes jet out of the country to watch Gunners at Emirates.

Even though the Gunners have never won EPL trophy since 2003/2004 locals fans have never shied away from showing their full support including holding special prayers when Arsenal is facing hot rivals like Man U, Liverpool and Man City.

With the 2024/25 season still new, Arsenal has already won three out of four matches played so far placing them in second place on the table with 10 points while Man City tops the league with 12 points with a clean sheet.

Below are some of the prominent figures and politicians in Kenya who are diehard Arsenal fans.

William Ruto – He is Kenya’s Fifth President who was elected in 2022.

Raila Odinga – He is the Opposition leader in Kenya and has been in active politics since 1980’s

Francis Atwoli – He is the long serving Secretary of Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU-K)

Peter Kenneth – The former Football Kenya Federation chairman also vied for presidency in 2017

Hassan Joho – Former Mombasa governor and currently Cabinet Secretary for Mining

James Orengo – Current Siaya governor and long serving Member of Parliament

Joseph Ole Lenku – Kajiado governor and former Interior Cabinet Secretary.

Junet Mohammed – Diehard ODM Mp and currently the Minority Leader in parliament.
