A woman in Baringo has been thrown into mourning and heartache after reportedly losing three children in a boat accident.
Jane Kakenyi’s children were among those who perished after a boat capsized in Lake Baringo over the weekend.
The bodies of her three children were retrieved on Tuesday. The single mother is also a preacher of Revival Church Salabani.
Reportedly, she was supposed to be on the same boat on the fateful day but changed her mind after being invited for another meeting.
Luckily one of her children survived the boat accident.
Her three children were among the seven bodies recovered from the lake while 16 youths were lucky to survive the boat accident.
According to police, six people were reportedly missing while one had drowned and 11 others were rescued.
Police said the boat was ferrying church members from Kampi Samaki to Kokwa Island.
