Residents of Matungu in Kakamega County are still in shock following an incident where a young lady hit her mother-in-law using dirty underwear.
It is reported that the incident happened on April 5, 2024. The lady in question was having a fight with husband , leading to a commotion in the family.
This attracted the mother-in-law who went to check if all was well, and when she arrived her son and wife were engaged in scuffle.
Reportedly, it was during that moment when the young lady removed a panty which she was wearing and threw it at mother-in-law; the inner cloth landed on the head of the elderly woman.
It is reported that after the man witnessed his wife throwing the pantie at mother-in-law he fled from the scene and he was later found to have died by suicide.
In a shocking twist, elders have now advised the family to bury the deceased so as to conduct some rituals.
“It is an abomination for a young lady to throw underwear at mother-in-law and something needs to be done to cleanse her,” a witness stated.
He added, “young people should find other ways of solving their differences in marriage, this kind of act has now led to loss of life which is very unfortunate for the family,”.
