A local Chief who was captured tactfully milking a cow in a viral photo has said that the cow is not his.
At the time, the Chief Joash Lelei was dressed in official attire as he milked the cow that seemed patient to produce the milk.
Immediately, the photos were shared online, Kenyans have been praising the Kapchorua Location Chief with some branding him the best administrator in the region.
However, it has now emerged that the cow doesn’t belong to Chief Lelei but a village woman said to be an illicit brewer.
And now Chief Lelei has been forced to explain circumstances under which he was forced to milk the humble cow.
Reportedly, the administrator was hunting for busaa brewers in the village when the woman said to be the owner of the animal fled away.
“Just to set the record straight, after the owner ran away, I decided to milk the cow and I made tea for a young girl who was left behind and made sure she reports to school,” Chief Lelei explained.
He added that, “The photoman was my colleague Ronald Kimurgor .Otherwise our job is sweet and very interesting.
