A young lady has painfully shared how a road accident claimed the life of her Mother in Bomet County on March 18.
The young lady identified as Carren Chepchumba while expressing has grief on Facebook revealed that on the material day the mother had called her three times in vain
“Have confirmed everything, it’s true my mum you are no longer with us,why this happened 18/03/2024 I’m sorry mum sikuchukua,” she wrote in part.
Adding that, “Mum umeenda hivo surely ningejua ningeomba simu Iko na credit nisamahe mum and also you comment my photo fb saa 1:48pm mum nimeamini umeenda,”
The accident involving a matatu and a tractor along Olenguruone-Silibwet Road in Bomet County claimed 5 lives and about 18 others injured.
According to police reports, the driver was driving his motor vehicle from Olenguruone heading towards Bomet general direction and on reaching the location of the accident, the driver of the matatu failed to keep to his proper lane and rammed on the tractor.
The 18 injured people were admitted to Tenwek Mission Hospital.
The vehicle and tractor have been towed to Bomet police station for further police action.
Since January to February 2024, road accidents across the country have claimed 649 lives in a move that has shocked Kenyans.
