A woman in Nairobi, is seeking justice after her lover and the father of her child turned against her and tortured her.
She said the ordeal went on the whole night as the man also assaulted her sexually. He accused his victim of having affairs with other men.
F.K.M, now a suspect in the case of threatening to kill, has denied torturing to kill R.C.
According to court papers, the suspect told the woman that he would kill her in the February 17 incident, while armed with a knife. “Nitakuuwa’, are the Kiswahili words the man is said to have used on his lover.
The woman informed police that she had on the said day gone to the house of the accused to clean it. He stepped out to allow her time to do the cleaning.
He came about two hours later and found the woman had not eaten the food he had left. The woman told him that she had eaten french fries in town with her friends before coming.
That allegedly angered the accused who began accusing her of hanging around with men who were buying her fries.
The complainant is said to have handed over her phone to the accused to check whether she was flirting with other men. He is said to have assaulted her even after finding nothing suspicious. The man reportedly grabbed her by the neck and pressed her against the wall.
Later, the court heard, the suspect took four knives and attempted to stab the complainant who, luckily, only sustained a scratch in the process.
The man undressed himself and claimed that his grandfather advised him to go naked while disciplining a woman.
F.K.M then forced himself on the lady twice before attempting to shove a sufuria holder into her anal area. She fought off the attempt and pushed him away.
The fight went on until the accused reached out for poison and tried to force her to drink. She hit the bottle containing the poison, it dropped down and its contents spilt all over.
The woman said she begged him to let her go but she would hear none of it. He insisted that he wanted to end her life and nothing would stop him.
Neighbours who heard commotion went out to check but the accused quickly pushed her inside the house, switched off the lights and cautioned her against saying anything.
He then ordered her to undress herself to ensure she didn’t step outside. For over eight hours, the complainant remained under siege.
It was when he left the house to go to the shop that she informed her relatives of what had happened. They rushed to her house. She had injuries. The suspect returned and continued with his threats.
The matter was reported to the police before the accused was arrested, taken to court, and charged.
