A young boy in Nairobi’s Donholm area stayed with the body of his mother for two days unaware that she was dead.
The incident which shocked the area residents happened at Donholm phase 8. The woman’s body was discovered by a neighbour on Friday, 29th December, 2023.
On the material day, witnesses said the boy told his friend that he was hungry since his mother had been sleeping in the house for two days.
Reportedly, the other boy went and told his mother who decided to visit the house. To the neighbour’s shock she found the decomposing body of the woman lying in the bed.
All along, her son assumed his mother was just resting and would wake up to prepare food for him as usual.
Nieghbours raised the alarm and alerted police from Buru-buru station who arrived at the scene to begin investigations as the body was moved to the city mortuary.
