Is Goerge Ruto cutting his political niche like his father, President Ruto?
This is a question that many people are asking themselves after George Kimutai, the son of President William Ruto, delivered a school to Kisaju Secondary school in Kajiado.
It is understood that George was fulfilling his promise, which he had made to the school, sometimes back, pledge, which some people thought he might have forgotten.
A video circulating on social media captures students and staff beaming with joy as George was adorned with a white shirt and flowers around his shoulders.
At the handover, George was received with jubilation by the school’s leadership and other attendants on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Students even took a first ride on the bus, while local authorities, parents, and teachers welcomed the gift.
In brief speech, George described Narok East Mp Lemanken Aramat and George Sunkuya of Kajiado West as his mentors.
Goerge was accompanied by UDA National Youth Leader Kariuki Ngunjiri, who used the opportunity to challenge youths to register as voters ahead of 2027 general elections.
Ngunjiri also thanked George for fulfilling his promise to Kisaju Secondary school.
“There is saying that an apple does not fall from its tree and it is evident that George has charisma, he is intelligent and has vision that’s why I don’t see any difference between him and his father, President Ruto,” Ngunjiri said
He added that George is an inspiration to many young people who are looking up at him not because he is president’s son but owing to his compassion and his ability to reach the vulnerable in the society.
At the same time, Ngunjiri described UDA party and broad-based coalition as formidable force that will earn President Ruto a second term come 2027.
