Revealed: Final plans for Raila’s burial on Sunday

This is according to the National State Funeral Committee

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be laid to rest at his Bondo home according to his wish, next to where his parents were laid to rest.

The final interment ceremony will take place, starting with an interment service at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University from 9.00 am until 1.00 pm.

This will be followed by committal, final prayers and military honours at the gravesite at Kango Ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County.

This is according to the National State Funeral Committee led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

In his communication on Saturday evening Kindiki said the Committee was grateful to the members of the public, security professionals and emergency personnel for managing to the best possible way, the public viewing of the mortal remains of the departed former Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Odinga.

“The day long public viewing activity at Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu City has ended solemnly as the mourning period progresses,” the Committee stated

The remains have arrived at the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s home at Opoda Farm, Bondo in Siaya County, for an overnight stay.
