Police Asked To Investigate Widow Double Dealing Land Buyers In Khwisero

Police in Khwisero sub-county have been asked to investigate a woman in the area for being involved in double selling of her land.

The widow is said to be having insatiable “appetite” for money in Bukwala village.

Some of the victims the suspect is using the misfortune of his son languishing in prison to con unsuspecting land buyers.

Reportedly, one of his son’s is facing a jail term at Shikuse maximum prison in Kakamega county after he was found guilty of murder.

The woman has been allegedly using the case of her son to con people by telling them that she’s selling the land to use the money to settle the case by having it reduced to man slaughter.

“Soon after she sells the land after some time she changes that her family don’t want you to build here and are willing to refund back the money,”said a victim.

One of the latest victim described the woman as rude, mostly when asked for a refund the money.

Several people who have fallen in the trap of the woman have vowed to report the woman at Khwisero police station so that investigations can be launched on her.

The victims also hope they will get back their money from her or she be taken to court and compelled to refund them.

“I have been forced to sell part of my land to settle a matter where my other son married a teenage girl who is below 18 years old and I used some of the money to settle with security officers but when I get enough money I will settle with my complainants” the woman responded when called for her comment on the allegations.
