Arsenal fans poured out their praises and pride to their team after it thrashed its bitter rival Chelsea.
The team on Saturday night closed the gap on top four in the Premier league.
Unai Emery, Arsenal’s new team coach had many Arsenal fans watching the match with tight stomachs such that if Chelsea seemed to advance, some would presumably bolt to the washrooms to ease their tension.
Arsenal has been barren for a while. This is the reason why the former manager Arsene Wenger had to leave.
“This is a game that Arsenal could not afford to lose if they were to stay in touch with the top four,” said Unai.
Alexander Lacazette thumped in the first thrash on the 14th minute while the team’s captain Laurent Koscienly sealed Chelsea’s fate at the 39th minute with a shoulder goal.
Chelsea has equally been displaying a dismal performance under the arms of former coach Jose Mourinho and they have been misfiring even with a new coach Maurizio Sarri on board.
And now the new coach, as it seems, decided to use 14 players for the 96 minutes’ game who had one or more won the premier league and served under his predecessor.
He looked annoyed during the game as Chelsea has more ball possession than Arsenal, at 64 percent but went nowhere and yielding nothing.
A usual football is a high emotion sport.
Those in praise for Arsenal celebrated while those supporting Chelsea either cursed or wanted nurse the defeat heart ache in silence
