Two sets of academic affidavits alleged to have emerged from Kampala University on Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi Mohamud’s academic have emerged.
In what is likely to create a standoff between Governor’s lawyers and his opponent, former Governor Ahmed Abdullahi in Supreme Court, an affidavit allegedly filed by the University claims he did not earn a degree from the said institution.
However, Governor Mahamud has two separate affidavits by Kampala University’s registrar Ssegawa Hamza filed before the same court confirming he studied and graduated from the Uganda based University.
“Our records indicate and confirm that he successfully completed his studies and qualified for the award of Bachelor Degree in business administration,” affidavit seen by Nairobi Journal reads in part.
The other affidavit by Evans Kerosi, an academic registrar at the Kampala University from 2005 to 2011 confirming that Mr. Mohamud was admitted to the university as a student.
“The said student was admitted on July 29, 2009 and his registration number was 2009AU/Ku/BBA/222HCT,” swore Kerosi.
